With over 100 members, there is a wide variety of scale, steam, ready to sail kits and yachts of all kind. Some members have up to a number of models and will grace the pond with a different one every week.
Whether you have a simple home made boat or a £2000 scale battleship, this is a great place to come and you will be made very welcomed.
If you have a new boat straight out of the box, want to get ideas about what to buy or just enjoy model boats then members will happily help you out. Turn up any other time and it won’t be long before either another modeller turns up or members of the public stop by or families join you at the pond.
The pond is always available and you’ll be amazed at how interested the general public, children or dog walkers are to see the pond in use and are very likely to join you at the pond side or sit on the wall and watch.
There is an increasing number of yachts showing every Sunday. Though no yacht racing takes place, several members attend with a variety of racing models.
Club Meetings
Club members gather on Sunday mornings between 9.00 and 12.00 and Wednesday mornings/afternoons, all year round and in all weathers.
